I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of therapy. In my practice, I place real value on making sure we are the right fit and working collaboratively towards your goals. I bring empathy and compassion to sessions, but also like to use humour where it feels helpful. While CBT is my core approach as it is my area of qualification and expertise, I sometimes integrate elements from other models I have knowledge in, if I feel they could support your progress.
You can't stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy the gym- particularly weightlifting and running (though I’ll admit I’m not the fastest runner, but I give it a good go!). I love being near the water in any form, whether that’s the sea, rivers, or lakes. I also enjoy a good shopping trip, anything that feels like self-care, and I’m also a bit of a foodie! I’m kept very busy at the moment as I’m a first time puppy parent, and loving every chaotic moment of it.
