Understanding CBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a well-researched talking therapy with a strong evidence base for helping people overcome a wide range of mental health challenges. This includes anxiety in all its forms, such as social anxiety, phobias, OCD, health anxiety, low self-esteem, or panic. Also, depression, low mood, trauma, and more.
CBT focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours are connected, often creating cycles that impact your emotions and create discomfort. Together, we can explore these patterns, and work on creating new, healthier cycles that bring you closer to the life you want to live.
Before starting therapy, I offer a free initial consultation call. Research shows that a positive and trusting relationship with your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of successful outcomes, so it’s important to find the right fit for you. This call gives us the chance to talk about what has brought you to therapy, for me to share more about CBT, and for you to ask any questions. If it feels like a good match, we can go ahead and book your first session.’
