What is it?

Understanding Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy combines the latest neuroscience with the deeply relaxing state of hypnosis to help you move forward in your life. Rather than dwelling on the past, it focuses on where you want to be, and helps your mind start working towards getting you there.

Sessions are calm, collaborative, and grounded in how the brain actually works. Many people are surprised by how quickly they begin to notice a difference.

How We Can Help

What Hypnotherapy Can Help With

Whether you've been struggling for a while or something has recently shifted, hypnotherapy offers a calm and effective way forward.

Anxiety

That constant feeling of worry or dread can be exhausting. Hypnotherapy helps to calm the part of your brain that's been stuck in high alert, so you can start to feel more like yourself again.

Low Mood

When motivation feels out of reach and the days feel flat, solution-focused hypnotherapy gently helps to shift your thinking patterns and rebuild a more positive outlook.

Sleep Problems

Poor sleep affects everything. Hypnotherapy works to quieten an overactive mind at night, helping you to fall asleep more easily and wake up feeling more rested.

OCD

Living with OCD can feel isolating and exhausting. Hypnotherapy offers a non-judgmental space to work on the anxiety that drives compulsive thoughts and behaviours, at a pace that feels safe for you.

IBS

Your gut has its own nervous system, sometimes called your "second brain", which means stress and worry can show up as very real physical symptoms. Calming the mind through hypnotherapy can have a genuine, positive effect on how your gut feels too.

Confidence & Self-Esteem

Whether it's at work, in relationships, or just in everyday life, hypnotherapy can help you reconnect with a quieter, steadier confidence, the kind that comes from within.

The Process

How It Works

Solution-focused hypnotherapy is a short-term approach. Most people begin to notice positive changes within just a few sessions.

01

Initial Consultation

We start with a relaxed, in-depth conversation to understand what you'd like to change and what your sessions will look like. You'll leave with a personalised hypnotherapy audio track to use at home between sessions.

02

Your Sessions

Each session combines talking, guided relaxation, and hypnosis. You're always in control. Many clients describe the experience as deeply restful, like the best nap they've never quite had.

03

Ongoing Progress

We check in as we go to make sure sessions are working for you. When you're ready, we wrap up, there's no pressure to keep attending once you're feeling better.

Your Questions Answered

Common Questions

What does hypnotherapy actually feel like?
Most people describe it as a very pleasant state of deep relaxation — similar to that drowsy feeling just before you fall asleep. You remain aware throughout and are always in control.
Will I be made to do things I don't want to?
No. Hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnosis. You can't be made to say or do anything against your wishes. The process is collaborative and entirely led by your goals.
How many sessions will I need?
Solution-focused hypnotherapy is a relatively short-term approach. Many clients notice meaningful change within 6–10 sessions, though this varies from person to person. You're never under any pressure to commit to a fixed number upfront.
Can I access sessions online?
Yes. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person and are a great option if getting out of the house feels difficult right now. All you need is a quiet space and a reliable internet connection.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You're welcome to get in touch directly to find out more or to book your initial consultation.
Is hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?
Hypnotherapy is suitable for most adults. If you have any questions about whether it's the right fit for you, please get in touch and we can have a friendly conversation before you commit to anything.

Ready to take the first step?

Whether you've been thinking about it for a while or have only just come across hypnotherapy, you're welcome to get in touch. There's no pressure, just a friendly conversation about how we might be able to help.
